AJ Styles on TKO/WWE Praise, McMahon Lawsuit Settled
AJ Styles shared his perspective on WWE and TKO Group Holdings, stating they deserve credit for positive developments alongside criticism. Meanwhile, the WWE Shareholders lawsuit against Vince McMahon has been settled.
AJ Styles believes that WWE and TKO Group Holdings should be credited for positive moves they have made, in addition to the criticism they receive for negatives. Speaking on "The Phenomenally Retro Podcast," Styles articulated his viewpoint on the company's performance, emphasizing a need for a balanced perspective.
Styles stated:
That is their job to take the blame for everything that is going on and that's their responsibility ... but we also, if they do something right, we need to give them praise like with AAA, they did something right. We can praise him for that. With other things, maybe they've done wrong. Freak it. That kind of sucked. We're entitled to opinions and stuff like that, but at the same time, you can't be boo boo face about everything that's going on because there is some good things that are going on with TKO. It's not going to be perfect all the time. Nobody is.
Styles highlighted that if WWE/TKO achieves something positive, it warrants acknowledgment and praise. He specifically cited AAA as an instance where the company performed well, deserving commendation. However, he also acknowledged that there may be instances where WWE/TKO has made errors, stating, "Freak it. That kind of sucked." The veteran wrestler affirmed that individuals are entitled to their opinions on such matters.
Furthermore, Styles conveyed that there are good things occurring within TKO Group Holdings. He tempered expectations by noting that perfection is not attainable at all times, stating, "It's not going to be perfect all the time. Nobody is."
WWE Shareholders Lawsuit Settled
In separate news, the WWE Shareholders lawsuit against Vince McMahon, which was scheduled to commence, has been canceled. The trial was expected to feature testimony from former CEO McMahon, Ari Emmanuel, Nick Khan, and other individuals over the course of a week.
The week-long trial was intended to scrutinize the deal between WWE and Endeavor, which is now known as TKO Group Holdings. The core of the lawsuit aimed to determine if the deal was expedited to maintain McMahon's position amid sexual misconduct allegations levied against him.
The trial's cancellation on Sunday followed reports that both parties involved had successfully reached an agreement on a settlement, thus concluding the legal proceedings.
