Eric Bischoff, co-creator of Real American Freestyle Wrestling (RAF) alongside the late Hulk Hogan, has indicated that WWE Superstar Chad Gable has expressed interest in competing for the promotion. Bischoff shared this information on a recent episode of his "83 Weeks" podcast.

Real American Freestyle Wrestling made its debut last summer and has since featured notable competitors, including Olympian and former WWE talent Gable Steveson, as well as former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm. According to Bischoff, another Olympian and WWE name may be set to wrestle for RAF.

During the "83 Weeks" episode, Bischoff, joined by special guest Ariel Helwani, discussed the mask vs. mask match at AAA Noche de los Grandes. In this bout, Ludwig Kaiser competed as El Grande Americano against Chad Gable, who wrestled as the Original El Grande Americano. Bischoff put over Kaiser for his work in AAA and for embracing the culture.

Chad Gable's Amateur Wrestling Background

Bischoff took the opportunity to highlight Gable's impressive wrestling background.

I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that Chad Gable is a phenomenal, phenomenal amateur wrestler.

Bischoff then suggested that Gable might be considering a future with the promotion.

And is kind of sniffing around Real American Freestyle, just throwing it out there. Wouldn't we love that.

Helwani noted that many MMA stars have made the jump to Real American Freestyle and questioned why more professional wrestlers hadn't followed suit. Bischoff acknowledged that existing contractual obligations can present hurdles for wrestlers seeking to compete in RAF, but expressed confidence that such cross-promotional appearances would become more common over time.

Upcoming Real American Freestyle Event

The next installment of the promotion, Real American Freestyle 10, is scheduled to take place on June 13 in St. Louis, Missouri. The event's main event will feature Khamzat Chimaev facing Dillon Danis in a catchweight bout.
