Eric Bischoff Slams Potential Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi Rematch, Prefers It Over Lesnar vs. GUNTHER

Former WCW President Eric Bischoff has expressed strong reservations about a potential third match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, deeming the narrative lacking and preferring it over a highly anticipated Lesnar vs. GUNTHER encounter.

Brock Lesnar seemed to retire following his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. However, Lesnar made a shocking return to WWE last month and defeated Femi in a rematch held at Clash In Italy. Since this event, rumors have circulated about a third encounter between Lesnar and Femi being planned.

Bischoff articulated his skepticism about the proposed rubber match, emphasizing the absence of a coherent story or setup. He highlighted Lesnar's apparent emotional farewell at WrestleMania 42, where he removed his wrestling gear and left it in the ring, only to return without a clear explanation.

A rubber match that I don't care about because none of it makes sense. There was no story. There was no setup. There was no why ... Brock got beat. He had tears in his eyes. I believed him. He took off his stuff. He left it in the ring. All of the things that are a signature goodbye and he came back. Why? I don't know. Doesn't matter. Oh, doesn't it? Well, then neither does the match that follows the lack of why. And therefore, neither will the rubber match if indeed there is one. Unless somewhere along the line somebody tells me why he took his s**t off and left it in the ring and then jump back into the ring without an explanation. There's got to be a reason why.

Before Brock Lesnar's renewed feud with Oba Femi, many in the WWE Universe anticipated that his final opponent would be GUNTHER. The German wrestler has established a reputation as a formidable force, having recently retired established stars such as John Cena, AJ Styles, and Goldberg within the past year, earning him the moniker "Career Killer."

Despite his disinterest in a Lesnar versus Femi trilogy, Bischoff admitted that he would prefer to see it over a potential clash between Brock Lesnar and GUNTHER. He explained that he cannot emotionally invest in a match between Lesnar and GUNTHER, citing visual and physical limitations that prevent him from suspending his disbelief.

I would much rather see a great story between Oba and Brock than GUNTHER and Brock. I'm sorry. I'm not buying GUNTHER and Brock. I'm not buying it. There's just certain things physically, visually that I cannot suspend my disbelief long enough to believe in it. And Brock and GUNTHER, no disrespect to GUNTHER, I think he's been great in a lot of ways ... but I don't think he's a great opponent for Brock. Not for that type of match. Oba, I believe. You couldn't get my attention with GUNTHER and Brock at all.

Bischoff believes that Oba Femi presents a more believable opponent for Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is 48 years old.

SummerSlam Destination

SummerSlam is expected to be the destination for Lesnar's official final match. The event is scheduled to take place in August in Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the U.S. Bank Stadium.
