AAA talent Jack Cartwheel, currently sidelined with an arm injury that does not require surgery, has revealed a list of WWE main roster stars he wishes to face should the opportunity arise. Cartwheel discussed his aspirations on the "Pep Talk? Pep Talks!" program, naming his dream opponents whether on NXT, Raw, or SmackDown.

Among the prominent names mentioned by Cartwheel are Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu. He also expressed interest in having another match with Je’Von Evans and facing Finn Balor, whom he considers one of his all time greats.

"Je’Von Evans, I would to have another match with him. Finn Balor is one of my greats of all time that I want to face. Roman Reigns is another great of all time that I would like to face. Are you kidding me? That would be sick."

Cartwheel also spoke about the possibility of competing in NXT against wrestlers from the group known as Vanity Project. He noted his past work with some of these individuals on the independent circuit when they were all on "WWE ID" projects together and expressed hope for a future convergence between AAA and NXT talents.

"I think it would be so cool to get to NXT and wrestle with the Vanity Project guys that I got to work on the indies when we were all on (WWE) ID together. Now I’m on AAA, and they’re on NXT, and I hope that, one day, we can merge back."

His list of desired opponents extends further, including Kit Wilson, Matt Cardona, and Danhausen. Cartwheel specifically named Jacob Fatu, highlighting a shared Northern California background and revealing that they have faced each other on the independent circuit in that area prior to Fatu signing with WWE.

"I say Jacob Fatu because he’s also from this Northern California area, along with me. I’ve actually had a match with him on the indies in this area before he got picked up."

Closer to home, Cartwheel also named stars he wants to face within AAA, with Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano being among those to catch his attention.

"The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to get back out there."

Independent Circuit History

Jack Cartwheel has a notable history on the independent circuit, particularly through his involvement in the WWE ID Men’s Championship Tournament. In the semi final of this tournament, which took place in July of last year at House of Champions Pro Wrestling, Cartwheel defeated Brad Baylor, a member of Vanity Project.

The final of the WWE ID Men’s Championship Tournament occurred the following month, in August of last year, at GCW ID Showcase, where Cappuccino Jones emerged victorious. Prior to the repackaging of certain talents as Vanity Project, Jackson Drake and Swipe Right, consisting of Baylor and Ricky Smokes, defeated Cartwheel, Cappuccino Jones, and Sean Legacy at the GCW Presents ID Championship Tournament in April of last year.

WWE and AAA Crossover Potential

Jack Cartwheel is currently signed as a full time AAA star. However, WWE is not against the idea of stars from the Mexico based promotion appearing on NXT or the main roster, potentially opening doors for some of Cartwheel's dream matches. Worlds Collide, an event that returned for two shows last year, featured a crossover between AAA, NXT, Raw, and SmackDown stars, setting a precedent for such collaborations.

Jacob Fatu, one of Cartwheel’s desired opponents, has recently been in the news. Fatu acknowledged Roman Reigns and was involved in a Tribal Combat match at WWE Clash in Italy, where he lost to The OTC.
