Nemeth secured the Call Your Shot trophy at Bound For Glory in October of last year. This prize grants the holder the right to challenge for a world title at any time. Since obtaining the trophy, Nemeth has maintained a presence around the TNA World Championship picture. He expressed a desire for the spotlight and to wrestle where the money is, leading to his advanced notice of the cash-in.

EXCLUSIVE: @NicTNemeth is giving his word, he's not going to spring the Call Your Shot trophy on somebody, he's calling his shot in advance for #TNASlammiversary.

This announcement was shared by TNA Wrestling on X (formerly Twitter) on June 7, 2026. The move signifies a departure from the traditional element of surprise associated with a guaranteed title opportunity. Nemeth's opponent for Slammiversary remains uncertain. However, Mike Santana is set to defend the TNA World Championship against Eric Young on the upcoming episode of Impact, airing on Thursday, June 11. The implication is that Nemeth will face the winner of this championship bout at Slammiversary.

Ticket Sales and Attendance Projections

Data from WrestleTix indicates that TNA is reportedly relying on Nemeth's "box office appeal" to help boost attendance for the Slammiversary event. As of June 6, 2026, WrestleTix reported that 1,336 tickets had been distributed for TNA Slammiversary, with 2,176 tickets still available for purchase. This represented an increase of 78 distributed tickets since the previous update five days earlier. The current seating configuration for the arena map shows 3,512 seats set up, out of a total of 6,251 seats available on the map. There were 22 days remaining until the show as of the June 6 update. TNA Slammiversary is also scheduled to take place on the same day as an AEW event.

TNA Slammiversary Match Updates

The updated lineup for TNA Slammiversary includes several confirmed matchups. The TNA World Championship will be contested with Nic Nemeth challenging the current champion, whose identity will be determined by the Santana vs. Young match. In the Knockouts division, Lei Ying Lee is scheduled to defend her Knockouts Championship against Xia Brookside. Additionally, the X-Division Championship will be contested in an Ultimate X match. Cedric Alexander is set to defend his title against Leon Slater, with additional participants yet to be announced.

It has been confirmed that all TNA championships will be defended at the Slammiversary event. The card will also feature a ladder match. Brian Myers and Bear Bronson currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championship. The current TNA tag team division primarily consists of three teams: The System, The Hardys, and The Righteous. When TNA mentioned a ladder match for the Pay-Per-View, the most common assumption was foreshadowing the Hardys in a tag title match. If the Hardys’ ongoing feud with the Righteous does not conclude prior to Slammiversary, a three way dance for the tag titles at the Pay-Per-View is a possibility.

Based on current storyline directions, TNA may add several other matches to the Slammiversary card. Potential matchups include The Elegance Brand defending the Knockouts Tag Team Championship against Rosemary and Allie, Elijah versus AJ Francis, EC3 versus Eric Young, and Indi Hartwell versus Elayna Black. In another developing storyline, KC Navarro is challenging Mustafa Ali for the TNA International Championship on an upcoming episode of Impact. The outcome of that match could potentially lead to a rematch being demanded at the Pay-Per-View. Should Ali win without objection, a surprise opponent could be slated to fit into his ongoing narrative of defending against challengers from around the world.
