Steve Maclin has been granted his requested release from TNA Wrestling after five years with the company. The news, announced by TNA, was followed swiftly by the confirmation of a multifight deal for Maclin with PRODUCE Wrestling.

Maclin is scheduled to wrestle on PRODUCE Wrestling's Volume 2 show, which is titled PRODUCE: Volume 2. TAIGASTYLE. The event is slated to take place on July 16 in Jersey City, New Jersey, at White Eagle Hall. PRODUCE Wrestling announced that Maclin has come to terms on a multifight agreement.

The announcement from PRODUCE by Orange Crush, posted on June 8, 2026, detailed the location and date of Maclin's debut, with tickets now on sale. PRODUCE Wrestling plans to stream its shows on MyAEW's streaming platform. The promotion had announced its first six shows the week prior, with four of those events featuring matches curated by Jonathan Gresham, Lee Moriarty, Rocky Romero, and Joey Janela.

Career History and Personal Endeavors

Maclin's tenure with TNA, formerly known as IMPACT Wrestling, spanned five years. During his time with the company, he achieved notable success, including becoming a former IMPACT! World Champion. He also holds the distinction of being the inaugural International Champion and is a two-time holder of that title.

Following news of his release, it was reported that Maclin had initially wished to keep the departure from TNA private. However, TNA issued a rare press release to announce that both Maclin and Myla Grace had been granted their releases from the company. Maclin is a combat veteran.

In addition to his in-ring career, Maclin and his wife, Deonna Purrazzo, are active in charitable causes. On Saturday night, prior to the news of his release, they co-hosted a charity wrestling show named "Battle for the Brave." This event successfully raised funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Maclin and Purrazzo also host a podcast together titled "Boots to Boots," which focuses on themes of life transitions and identity shifts, reflecting Maclin's background as a combat veteran.
