Liv Morgan Advances in Queen of the Ring; Sol Ruca Retains Women's Intercontinental Championship on WWE Raw
WWE Monday Night Raw emanated live from the Accor Arena in Paris, France, on June 8, 2026, featuring continued action in the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, championship defenses, and significant backstage confrontations.
Oba Femi Opens Raw, Declares King of the Ring Intentions
The evening kicked off with Oba Femi making his entrance in street clothes, addressing the Parisian crowd. After acknowledging their cheers, Femi outlined his ambitious plans for the King of the Ring tournament.
I’m gonna run through every man in King of the Ring, meet the last one at Night of Champions, and whoever it is will have fought valiantly, but unfortunately his journey ends there because he’ll destroy him and take his rightful place on the throne as King of the Ring, and that isn’t a prediction, it’s a spoiler.
Femi further detailed his objectives for 2026, emphasizing his drive to accumulate accolades. He specifically mentioned his pursuit of Brock Lesnar, stating that the score is 1-1. Femi voiced his dissatisfaction with Lesnar’s perceived avoidance.
The Ruler needs a crown, and 2026 is the year of collecting trophies, but he has yet to collect one particular trophy, the head of Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman keeps talking about his big, bad Beast, but all Oba’s seen these last few weeks is a big, bad bitch. So when he sees Lesnar again, he’ll settle the score.
Oba Femi's King of the Ring semifinal adversary, Dominik Mysterio, then made his way to the ring. Drowned out by boos, Mysterio challenged Femi, emphasizing his extensive experience.
He asks Femi how long he’s been here and calls him a rookie, but Oba gestures that he can’t hear him over the crowd. Dominik repeats himself and says Oba’s been here a cup of coffee but he’s a twenty-year veteran in the game, the King of the Luchadors, and once he’s King of the Ring, he’ll rule over Femi too. So he wants Oba to make it easy, bend the knee, and respect the ‘stache.
JD McDonagh then climbed into the ring behind Oba Femi and struck him with a steel chair. The Ruler appeared largely unaffected, turning around and punching JD through another chair shot. Mysterio then attempted a 619, but Femi caught the dive and executed a powerful slam. As the members of The Judgment Day retreated, Femi issued a direct warning to Mysterio.
We all know Rey Mysterio is his father, and next week, Oba will introduce Dominik to his daddy.
Seth Rollins Discusses King of the Ring and Roman Reigns
Backstage, Seth Rollins was interviewed. He took a moment to listen to the crowd sing his entrance theme and welcomed Paris to Monday Night Rollins. Rollins reflected on his previous experiences in Paris and his future ambitions.
Time is a flat circle and the last time he was in Paris he was world champion and leader of the Vision and the Vision was the future, but now the Vision is the past and the future is him winning King of the Ring and taking the title he never lost back.
Rollins continued, outlining his ultimate goal:
And what that means is he has a date somewhere down the line with Roman Reigns. A man who never fights alone and can’t seem to beat him when it matters the most. Roman is holding a title that doesn’t belong to him, a title that Seth made, and one that belongs to him.
Earlier in the show, a recap of Seth Rollins defeating Bron Breakker last week was shown.
Later, as Rollins was preparing to depart, Montez Ford approached him. They shook hands, and Ford wished Rollins luck in the King of the Ring tournament, calling him this generation's King of the Ring. Rollins thanked him and asked about Angelo Dawkins. Before Ford could answer, The Usos, Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu, approached. Jey Uso voiced his own intentions for the tournament.
“Main Event” Jey Uso tells them to be careful how they talk about the family and also he’s in King of the Ring and he’s gonna win.
Rollins questioned the absence of “Big” Jim Uso from the tournament, implying Roman Reigns' potential influence. He also challenged the loyalty of The Usos.
And anyway, he’s not talking about the family and he thought they were better than just running business for Roman. But maybe he’s wrong and this is the best it gets for them, being bag boys for Roman.
In response, Jey Uso told Jacob Fatu to get “this fool.” Fatu stepped forward, getting into Rollins' face before the group departed. Rollins chuckled and resumed his conversation with Ford as the segment concluded.
King and Queen of the Ring Tournament Matches and Women's Intercontinental Championship
The first Queen of the Ring tournament match of the night featured Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Chelsea Green, and Liv Morgan. After a hard-fought contest with several near falls and shifting alliances, Liv Morgan secured the victory. She achieved the pinfall win over Chelsea Green by executing a jackknife pin, advancing her in the tournament.
Following this match, attention shifted to the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship bout. Earlier in the day, Bayley was observed giving Lyra Valkyria words of encouragement backstage.
This is about getting back what she lost and she believes in her.
Lyra Valkyria then faced the reigning champion, Sol Ruca, in a competitive championship match. The contest was a back-and-forth affair. Despite Valkyria's determined efforts, Sol Ruca successfully retained her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, securing the victory via pinfall with her signature move, the Sol Snatcher.
Additionally, a recap was shown of Penta el Zero M defending his WWE Men’s Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio. Earlier in the day, Chad Gable approached Penta el Zero M to extend an apology regarding the El Grande Americano incident. Gable stated that he knew he had an important match and wanted to make it quick, offering the same apology he gave Rey Fenix on Friday about the whole El Grande Americano deal. Penta acknowledged the apology.
Zero says he knows lucha libre and he knows it’s not easy to say you’re wrong, and he appreciates that, but if Chad really wants to do right by lucha libre, he knows who he has to talk to.
Bloodline Dynamics and LA Knight's Ambitions
Backstage segments delved into the internal dynamics of The Bloodline. Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso confronted Jacob Fatu, expressing displeasure that Fatu had not eliminated Seth Rollins earlier as instructed. Fatu asserted his loyalty was exclusively to Roman Reigns and insisted that Jey and Jimmy Uso needed to address LA Knight, whom they had previously warned against discussing the family.
Fatu says they don’t give him orders, he only acknowleged Roman Reigns, not them, and they need to take care of their boy LA Knight, who they warned to stop talking about the family but he keeps running his mouth.
Jacob Fatu had acknowledged Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief the previous week. Fatu then stated that if Jey and Jimmy needed to handle LA Knight, they should put it in the group text, as Jey ran off.
LA Knight then made his entrance and addressed the crowd with a microphone. He spoke about his upcoming King of the Ring first-round match scheduled for SmackDown, where he is set to face Finn Balor, Royce Keys, and Jey Uso. Knight declared his intention to win the tournament and subsequently challenge Roman Reigns for the world championship, expressing doubt about the fairness of such a potential encounter.
Ordinarily he’d walk out here and say on Friday he’s going through all four of ’em (four?) and go on to win the tournament and beat Roman Reigns for the world title. Roman’s using everything he’s got to keep us all trapped in the Bloodline vortex, so on Friday he knows somebody is gonna come down and help Jey Uso win, and he’s heard the warnings to not talk about the family, but unlike the Usos, he doesn’t take orders from Roman Reigns or fall in line to a Tribal Chief.
Knight continued his impassioned speech, positioning himself as a leader.
In this neighborhood, he is the chief, and let’s say he wins Friday and then wins King of the Ring and faces Reigns for the title, you can’t think for a second that the entire Bloodline isn’t gonna come down here and intervene, Jacob, Jey, Jimmy, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, mom, grandma, aunt, neighbor down the street, all just to keep Roman champion.
Advertisements included a promotion for Sunday Night’s Main Event scheduled for September 6.
The King of the Ring tournament continues with a four-way first-round match featuring Je’Von Evans, Ricky Saints, Seth Rollins, and Talla Tonga.
