WWE reportedly has interest in signing Zilla Fatu, with the second generation star spotted at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, on June 8. PWInsiderElite has shared an update on this possibility, reporting that Fatu attended the WWE Performance Center on June 8. There has also been talk of WWE being interested in him as of late.

Given his lineage as the son of former WWE star Umaga, Fatu has been oft-linked to the company since beginning his in ring career in 2023. He is currently the House of Glory Crown Jewel Champion and has previously teased a move to WWE.

Bloodline Connections and Paul Heyman's Stance

Roman Reigns’ Bloodline recently grew stronger with the addition of Jacob Fatu. Zilla Fatu is recognized as one of the most prominent Anoa’i Family names yet to be signed to the company. The Bloodline now features four members.

The Bloodline’s former Wiseman, Paul Heyman, has publicly stated his view that WWE should sign Fatu:

the very first opportunity

Heyman's statement, urging WWE to sign Fatu, highlights the attention surrounding Zilla Fatu’s potential future with the promotion.

Zilla Fatu's Independent Career History

Zilla Fatu initiated his in ring career at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling in July 2023. The WWE Hall of Famer Booker T also provided training and mentorship to Fatu. Since then, Fatu has grown his reputation on the independent scene, making appearances for notable promotions such as GCW and House of Glory.

A significant highlight of his independent run includes challenging MJF for the AEW World Championship at House of Glory’s No Turning Back event in February. While Fatu has yet to share a ring with the likes of Roman Reigns or The Usos, he did team with Jacob Fatu several times in early 2024 before “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu made the jump to WWE.

Potential Path to WWE: Solo Sikoa Comparison

Despite his lineage and massive upside, WWE may opt to have Zilla Fatu follow in Solo Sikoa’s footsteps in WWE, rather than Jacob Fatu’s. Zilla Fatu is 26 years old.

Unlike Jacob Fatu, who debuted on the main roster in June 2024 and was immediately thrusted into one of WWE’s biggest storylines upon his debut, Solo Sikoa started in NXT in 2021. Sikoa had competed on the independent scene for three years prior to joining NXT. While it only took WWE a year to call Sikoa up to SmackDown, that year in NXT allowed fans to become familiar with him. If Zilla Fatu does sign with WWE, fans should probably expect him to follow that same path through NXT.

Future Storyline Possibilities

Alternatively, if WWE decides to throw Zilla Fatu in at the deep end, there is certainly scope for the 26 year old to enter the teased storyline involving The Bloodline and The MFTs. With The Bloodline now featuring four members and The MFTs three, Zilla Fatu could join up with Solo Sikoa and set up a potential four vs. four WarGames match at Survivor Series later this year. Whatever direction WWE chooses, Zilla Fatu could provide them their next top Samoan superstar for many years to come.
