Fatu has primarily competed for Booker T's Reality of Wrestling (ROW) promotion in Texas. His independent career also includes appearances for promotions such as GCW and House of Glory (HOG). Fatu is a two-time ROW Champion and a two-time reigning and defending HOG Crown Jewel Champion. He secured his second HOG Crown Jewel Championship in September 2025, defeating WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray for the title.

Fatu's most high-profile independent match to date occurred in March of this year when he challenged AEW Men's World Champion MJF at a House of Glory event. While he ultimately came up short in that contest, the match highlighted his standing within the independent wrestling scene.

Notable Endorsements and Family Connections

Due to his prominent family connections within professional wrestling, many have long anticipated Fatu eventually joining WWE. This recent report of his presence at the Performance Center is considered the most concrete indication that the promotion has been actively pursuing him.

Several notable figures associated with WWE have publicly endorsed Fatu as a potential future star. These include Bully Ray, Fatu's uncle Rikishi, and former Bloodline "wise man" Paul Heyman. Heyman expressed a strong sentiment regarding Fatu's potential, stating that WWE "would be remiss" if they did not offer him a contract.
