Danhausen has become an unofficial mascot for the Knicks. He was one of many side characters surrounding the franchise as it its first NBA title since 1973, ending a 53 year drought for New York.

During the Knicks' playoff run, Danhausen lifted what he presented as a symbolic curse on the team. That storyline ran alongside the on court push that delivered the franchise its first championship in more than five decades.

WFAN Sports Radio rolled out the red carpet for the eccentric WWE personality as the title celebration continued. The parade invitation extends Danhausen's presence from the playoff curse angle into the Knicks' championship festivities.
