Khan, an alum of Howard University, revealed her decision in a social media video. She expressed deep unhappiness during her tenure with WWE, detailing how her mental health struggles led to a loss of self-identity.
"I was very, very, very unhappy at that job," Khan said. "My depression and anxiety [were] at an all-time high. I lost myself. I would look at myself in the mirror and not even know who I was anymore."
Before her wrestling career, Khan achieved significant success in track and field. After transferring from Kentucky, she became a three-time MEAC champion at Howard University, set multiple program records in hurdles, won the Penn Relays 100-meter hurdles title, and competed at the NCAA national stage and USA Championships. She graduated from Howard in 2024 as valedictorian with a degree in Art/Studio Painting.
WWE signed Khan in late 2023 through its Next In Line (NIL) program. Performing as Masyn Holiday, she competed in WWE NXT, including NXT dark matches and on WWE: Legends & Future Greats (LFG). She was also part of the ROAR Records faction with Layla Diggs and Nikkita Lyons. Her final televised match aired on the June 7 episode of LFG, where she defeated PJ Vasa.
Khan clarified that her departure was not due to animosity towards WWE or its personnel. She stated that the career path she had pursued was not aligning with her purpose.
"I’m not saying WWE is bad," she explained. "I’m not bashing nobody at WWE. I love the people there. But for me and my purpose on this Earth, it just wasn’t aligning."
She recounted a moment at the WWE Performance Center where a coach's observation validated her feelings of distress. Following this, Khan met with head coach Matt Bloom and officially resigned, expressing gratitude to the coaches and staff.
Khan is now focusing on her artistic endeavors and has launched The Khan Artist, a YouTube channel dedicated to painting and art techniques.
