During a press tour for Disney's Moana, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson encountered a unique 3D-printed gift that rendered him temporarily speechless.

During a four-minute interview slot, journalists presented Johnson with a 3D-printed creation featuring a lobster body and Johnson’s face as the head, listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace for $20. The item, described as a 'Rocktopus,' was a mini version of a larger 3D-printed item featuring Johnson's head attached to tentacles.

Johnson exclaimed upon receiving the 'Rocktopus.' He examined the item with a mix of horror and amusement, a reaction that reportedly drew a laugh from Disney’s PR team present at the press junket.

When asked his thoughts on such merchandise, Johnson remarked on the existence of communities for niche items. “This is really amazing, what’s it called? A ’Rocktopus?” he asked, before revealing his plans for the unique item: “I would put that in my bedroom!”

Later, on the blue carpet, Johnson shared another personal item he kept from the Moana press tour: the long wig worn by Maui in the film. He confirmed the wig came home with him and is kept in a safe, with access only granted after midnight on Fridays with sufficient tequila.

The encounter also highlighted the less glamorous aspects of celebrity interviews, including lengthy waits in hotel hallways and adhering to strict rules and pre-approved topics, which can be challenging for interviewers trying to secure substantive content within limited timeframes.
