Jack Perry posted to his Instagram Story this week amid renewed CM Punk and AEW reunion talk, and social posts suggest the image may be a pointed response to rumors that Punk could eventually repair relationships back in AEW.
CM Punk rumors have dominated conversation at a level not seen since 2023, around the end of his AEW run and his WWE return. For the most part, that wave appears to have settled: he is not leaving WWE is expected back relatively soon, and will probably be working with an unnamed partner when he returns.
AEW Reunion Talk
With Punk's WWE status largely clarified, attention shifted to whether his final behind the scenes opponent at AEW was commenting on this week's Punk related rumors.
Reportedly, there are people in AEW who believe the bridge with CM Punk is not burned, and that his relationship with key people there could potentially be repaired.
Never say never.
At the same time, there are those at AEW who are unlikely to ever have a relationship with Punk again. Judging from Jack Perry's Instagram Story, a lot of people think he is one of them.
Jack Perry's Instagram Story
Perry's Story used an image that has circulated widely, appearing on everything from music releases to corporate training materials. No artist credit for the image surfaced quickly in initial reporting.
The visual appears to show money burning a bridge behind a figure, and many read it as money burning a bridge behind Perry himself. He is not leaving much material to rebuild with either, based on that interpretation.
Perry did not spell out a written message alongside the post. The Story itself is the only direct material from him in this cycle, and the bridge burning imagery is what tied his name to the CM Punk AEW reunion conversation online.
