Cargill previously characterized her initial championship run as a “practice run” after WrestleMania, stating her belief that a subsequent reign would be more successful. Discussing her development since that period, Cargill highlighted how vital 'trust' has become in her in-ring approach.
Trust is a major play in all of this and I have been able to go out there and deliver. Because at the end of the day, the end of the story is the match. I think I’ve learned to really do things my way and I haven’t really been doing things my way. I’ve kind of just been taking things and just going with the flow. Now with trust, I’ve been able to really hone in on my skills and do things my way and how I would say it and how I would go about it. So that is something that I learned in my first run.
Cargill's comments suggest a shift towards greater creative autonomy and self-reliance in her performances, which she believes will be key to a more impactful championship reign if she secures the United States Women’s title from Tiffany Stratton this Saturday.
