The 49-year-old previously shared this record with Ric Flair, WWE's first two-time Hall of Famer, who earned 16 titles between 1981 and 2000.

Longest WWE Face Run Before a Heel Turn

This was not the first time Cena claimed a Guinness World Records title with Cody Rhodes in the ring beside him.

On 1 March 2025, Cena attacked his respected rival and set the record for the longest WWE face run before turning heel. Up until that point, Cena had been the good guy for 22 years and 247 days, embodying his mantra of hustle, loyalty, respect.

Cena was instructed to turn on Cody Rhodes by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, also known as "The Final Boss." The turn came as a huge shock to fans.

Make-A-Wish Record

Cena has also made record-breaking history outside of the ring. On 19 July 2022, he achieved the most wishes granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation with 650.

For each of the critically ill children who have made these requests, Cena has given them an experience they will never forget, whether that means bringing them into the ring or letting them beat him in an arm wrestle.
