Days before WrestleMania 42, Morgan debuted her new entrance song online. The release was paired with a special music video that drew comparisons to early 2000s pop stars, including Britney Spears. In a new interview on Early Bird Special, she recalled the work that went into both the shoot and her live entrance at the show.
I went through like a three-day intensive popstar boot camp to prepare for this music video shoot and to prepare for my live entrance of it. It was very iconic.
Morgan described the camp as hours of daily choreography, rehearsals, wardrobe sittings, and microphone work, covering the kind of prep she associated with a live pop performance.
Yeah, just choreography for hours a day, every single day. Rehearsals, wardrobe sittings, the microphone sitting, how to work with the microphone. Tons of the things that I feel like typical someone would do getting ready for a live performance, you know? It just felt very pop star. I felt like Britney Spears, it was iconic to live through. Never thought I'd do anything like that, but I'm very much in a season and space of just doing things, you know? Just trying things.
Morgan framed the experience as something she never expected to do, but one she embraced as part of a current stretch where she is willing to try new creative directions.
