Clips were shown from Sami Zayn’s WWE Championship victory over Cody Rhodes and Gunther at Night of Champions, including social media reactions and crowd shots. Zayn entered the arena wearing a t-shirt that read “Undisputed WWE Champion. Last Real Good Guy.”

Addressing the fans, Zayn expressed his appreciation for their support. “It seems to me that a lot of folks in the crowd tonight came to ride or die with the last real good guy,” he stated, receiving a mixed reaction. He acknowledged that for the past six months, he had been “booed out of the building every single time” by many of the same fans who had once supported his quest for the WWE Championship.

I am a good guy.

Zayn continued, explaining his decision not to be petty towards those who had given up on him. He recounted being told he needed to be more selfish or cut-throat to win, but chose to achieve his goals “my way, the right way.” He declared the night a celebration of his accomplishments, including being a WrestleMania main eventer and a Grand Slam Champion, stating that no amount of booing could diminish his achievements.

The celebration was interrupted by Cody Rhodes’s entrance. Corey Graves noted the strangeness of seeing Rhodes without the title. Zayn asked Rhodes what he wanted, to which Rhodes replied he wanted to be the first to publicly congratulate Zayn, mirroring Zayn’s own gesture when Rhodes first won the title. Rhodes extended his hand, which Zayn accepted.

As Rhodes began to leave, Zayn called him back, stating he knew Rhodes had come out for more than just congratulations. Zayn accused Rhodes of wanting the belt back because he was “addicted to it” and pressed him on his true reasons for appearing.

Jey Uso's music then played, and he cheerfully congratulated Zayn. Uso stated his appearance was not about challenging Zayn directly, but he wanted to deliver a “warning shot” and emphasized the need to “bring the gold back to the family.” Cody Rhodes questioned Uso, asking, “The family? What year is this?” He then reminded Jey Uso that he had been a World Champion and questioned when Uso had reverted to “running errands for the Tribal C.”
