The veteran, who began his career in Mid-South Wrestling in 1974, highlighted this particular look from his AJPW tenure. Fans reacting to the post focused on the distinctive cowboy-themed attire that DiBiase sported during that period. His time in Japan was significant, as he held both the NWA United National Championship and the PPF Tag Team Championships between 1983 and 1987.

DiBiase briefly returned to AJPW in 1993 and continued to wrestle intermittently throughout the 1990s and 2000s across various promotions. After a period on WWE's creative team, he now frequently appears as part of the company's Legends program, maintaining his connection to the wrestling world.
