Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, alongside entertainers Adam Sandler, Jared Leto, and Mario Lopez, are reportedly not expected to attend the UFC Freedom 250 event. This event is scheduled to take place on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14.
\nLast month, Sean Gregory of Time reported that UFC president Dana White had extended invitations to several major stars from the entertainment industry for the UFC Freedom 250 event. While names such as Tom Brady and Jason Statham were initially mentioned on White's guest list, a recent report from Vanity Fair, authored by Aidan McLaughlin, indicated that a number of these invited A-listers will not be attending.
\nAccording to McLaughlin's reporting, a source close to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson stated that Johnson will not be present at the UFC Freedom 250 event. The same Vanity Fair report indicated that Adam Sandler, Jared Leto, and Mario Lopez are also declining their invitations to the event.
\nMcLaughlin noted that approximately 4,000 people are anticipated to attend the UFC event. He also reported that the White House has been inundated with seat requests.
\nMcLaughlin wrote that he was told the White House “has fielded an onslaught of requests from top-dollar donors, lobbyists, and members of Congress clamoring for seats.”\n
Representatives for Mario Lopez, Jared Leto, and Adam Sandler have confirmed that these individuals will not be among the attendees who will be seated alongside lobbyists and politicians. The White House and UFC have not yet provided a definitive list of anticipated attendees for the event.
\nCelebrity Attendance Status Unknown for Other Invited Stars
\nThe attendance status for other celebrities who were reportedly invited, including Tom Brady, Jason Statham, and filmmaker Guy Ritchie, remains unconfirmed. Representatives for these individuals did not respond to requests for comment regarding their potential attendance.
\nThe challenge of securing celebrity participation for events associated with President Donald Trump's administration has become increasingly apparent. This difficulty was also observed with the Freedom 250 musical event that was initially planned for the National Mall.
\nThe Freedom 250 musical event was originally announced with a lineup that included artists such as Bret Michaels of Poison, country singer Martina McBride, and The Commodores. However, plans for the event were soon radically altered. Following the withdrawal of most of the announced artists, the event was restructured into a large rally with President Trump serving as the headliner.
\nWWE Talent Confirmed for UFC Freedom 250 FanFest
\nDespite the reported absences of some high-profile entertainment figures, several WWE Superstars are scheduled to appear at the UFC Freedom 250 FanFest. This event is set to take place on the White House lawn.
\nConfirmed to appear for the UFC Freedom 250 FanFest are Charlotte Flair, Bron Breakker, Chelsea Green, and The Usos, among others.
