Dominik Mysterio interrupted Femi, questioning his tenure and veteran status. Mysterio asserted his claim to the King of the Ring title, referencing his experience as King of the Luchadores. As Mysterio got on the apron, JD McDonagh appeared behind Femi and struck him with a chair. Femi retaliated, punching the chair into JD's face. Femi then grabbed both JD and Dominik and they hit a 619 on Oba Femi. After tossing Mysterio across the ring, Femi stated, "Next week, he will introduce Dom to his daddy," referring to Rey Mysterio.

Jackie Redmond interviewed Seth Rollins, who spoke about time being a flat circle. Rollins declared his intention to win the King of the Ring tournament and reclaim the title he believes he never legitimately lost to Roman Reigns. Rollins called out Reigns for not winning titles on his own and holding onto a title that does not belong to him. He stated,

You are holding on to a title that does not belong to you. Seth says he made that title and it belongs to him.
