This year's SummerSlam marks a new streaming era, as it will be the first SummerSlam to stream on ESPN in the U.S., following the conclusion of WWE’s Peacock deal after Clash in Paris in 2025. Internationally, Netflix will carry the event.

The road to SummerSlam saw Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins speak in the ring during Monday Night RAW at Boardwalk Hall Arena on June 29, 2026, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, setting the stage for one of the event's marquee matchups. With just under a month left, SummerSlam 2026 is scheduled as a two-night event on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. This marks the first WWE stadium show in the city. Both nights will kick off at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT.

The Road to SummerSlam and Potential Card Additions

While these three matches are set, the Undisputed WWE Championship match for SummerSlam 2026 is still forming. Sami Zayn is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes on the July 6 Raw in Chicago, with the outcome significantly influencing the top of the SummerSlam card.

Other potential additions to the card include CM Punk, who is seemingly on his way back and is expected for the July 6 Raw in Chicago. His last on-air appearance teased a program with Cody Rhodes in the same city. Chad Gable is also in the midst of a massive push, and there could be a feud coming between him and Austin Theory. Trick Williams is expected to have placement on the card, and a mention of Stephanie Vaquer on Monday's episode of Raw reportedly means she is on her way back.

Upcoming Events

Friday's episode of SmackDown will feature Sami Zayn's first on-screen action since winning the WWE title. The fallout from Gunther and Nick Aldis' backstage altercation is also likely to be seen. Monday's Raw takes place in Chicago, where CM Punk's return is expected, and also hosts Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes.

With a Saturday Night’s Main Event scheduled from Madison Square Garden on July 18, WWE has three weeks of television programming to finalize the full card for the two-night SummerSlam event.
