Rumored WWE SummerSlam 2026 Match Card Takes Shape Before Night of Champions

WWE Night of Champions 2026 in Riyadh will crown King and Queen of the Ring winners with SummerSlam title shots on the line, while multiple marquee SummerSlam bouts are already being mapped out.

At Night of Champions, Trick Williams will defend the United States Championship against Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes. Bron Breakker will battle his longtime nemesis Seth Rollins in a Steel Cage match. With those stakes inside Kingdom Arena, the outcomes at Night of Champions are expected to have a domino effect on how the SummerSlam card fills out.

Even with Night of Champions still to come, the SummerSlam 2026 match card is already beginning to take shape. Winners of the respective King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring matches will earn guaranteed world title opportunities at SummerSlam. Below is a look at the rumored key matches being discussed for the Big Four premium live event at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota.

Rumored SummerSlam 2026 match card

  • Jade Cargill vs. Charlotte Flair: Though neither Jade Cargill nor Charlotte Flair is currently holding a title, WWE is reportedly strongly considering this first ever dream match for SummerSlam. Cargill and Flair have been interacting quite a bit on SmackDown as of late, and even without a championship involved, a bout between two of WWE's biggest stars would be a strong addition to the midcard on a card that may feature a dozen or more marquee matches across two nights.
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi: Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi are tied at one win apiece, with Oba Femi winning in dominant fashion at WrestleMania 42 and Lesnar doing virtually the same at WWE Clash Italy. A rubber match is the likeliest next step, with SummerSlam in Minnesota viewed as the most likely stage. Lesnar wrestled collegiately in Minnesota. After Lesnar faked his retirement at WrestleMania 42, SummerSlam is expected to serve as the stage for his legitimate retirement bout against Femi, with Lesnar potentially putting Femi over on his way out. That booking path would necessitate Lesnar costing Femi in the King of the Ring finals at Night of Champions.
  • Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky: Iyo Sky has long been the reported frontrunner to face Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship, and she is one win away from making that match a reality at SummerSlam, provided Sky wins the Queen of the Ring Tournament. At Night of Champions, Sky will compete in the Queen of the Ring finals, where she will face either Morgan or Charlotte Flair. After taking a backseat in the singles scene en route to WrestleMania 42, Sky is once again climbing her way back to the top of the card and is viewed as the best possible SummerSlam opponent for Morgan, who does not have many other options on Raw.
  • WWE Women's Championship: Rhea Ripley vs. Jacy Jayne: Rhea Ripley could face Jacy Jayne for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam.
  • WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Jey Uso: Cody Rhodes is predicted to defend his WWE Championship against Jey Uso at SummerSlam, especially if Uso wins the King of the Ring Tournament at Night of Champions.
  • Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins: A Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins match is also anticipated for the SummerSlam card. Rollins is already booked for Night of Champions, where he faces Bron Breakker inside a Steel Cage.

SummerSlam 2026 will mark just the second time the event runs across two nights. With King and Queen of the Ring finals set for Oba Femi and Iyo Sky in Riyadh, plus United States Championship and Steel Cage action on the same show, Night of Champions is expected to lock in several SummerSlam directions before the August 1 and 2 dates in Minnesota.
