Rumor Roundup: WWE White House Event Talk, Rhea Ripley Situation, TNA Shakeup

WWE may be open to a White House event someday, but the company reportedly is not rushing to copy UFC Freedom 250. Rhea Ripley's murky injury situation and TNA releases during the wrestling war are also circulating.

The White House angle follows UFC Freedom 250, where inflated viewership claims have circulated online. On his podcast, Joe Rogan said the show was one of the most watched sporting events in the history of the world, with more than 150 million people viewing it. Dave Meltzer pushed back hard on that framing on Radio.

Total bullshit

Paramount announced the event averaged 8.2 million viewers across the U.S. and Latin America, calling it the biggest exclusive live event ever on Paramount+. The streamer also said nearly 17 million people in those regions watched at least one minute of the show, a figure far below Rogan's claim and well short of comparisons to the moon landing.

Triple H and Roman Reigns were among several WWE stars who attended UFC Freedom 250. Even with WWE's strong relationship with President Trump, it reportedly does not look like the company will try to follow UFC's White House model any time soon. WWE appears open to the idea of a future White House event, but running one the same way UFC did may not make financial sense. If that changes, a WWE ring on the White House lawn could become more realistic.

Separate from the political venue talk, Rhea Ripley's situation is described as murky and may tie into SummerSlam planning. TNA releases during the wrestling war are also part of the broader rumor cycle, though specifics on both fronts remain thin.
