Night of Champions began in 2007. Every title was defended through 2015 before the concept changed on its 2023 return, when Jey and Jimmy Uso betrayed Roman Reigns and set up the Bloodline Civil War at Money in the Bank. The 2025 and this year's PLE hosted King and Queen of the Ring finals.
