Nick Jackson stated,

It's step by step for him. He's just trying to take it day by day, but he's having improvements, which is good.
\nMatt Jackson asked fans to keep Cole in their thoughts and prayers. He added,
He's the best person I've ever met in the wrestling business without exaggeration.

Adam Cole last appeared in AEW when he relinquished the TNT Championship at ALL IN Texas in July due to a concussion. Cole has experienced multiple health issues, including back to back concussions in 2022 and an ankle injury in 2023 that required multiple surgeries. Following his most recent concussion, Cole considered retirement. He had been part of the "AEW All Elite Arcade" podcast, but the AEW Games channel is on hiatus.
