AKIRA Says He Was Already on the Outs With MLW, Threatened to Stab Someone Who Intruded on His Life

AKIRA detailed his falling out with Major League Wrestling on Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling, saying he was already on the outs before his 2025 exit and made violent threats during a period of heartbreak.

AKIRA worked dates for MLW across several years of his career. During that time, he held the World Middleweight Championship and the World Tag Team Championship. MLW came up as AKIRA explained what was happening behind the scenes before he wrapped up with the organization.

I was already on the outs with MLW… I threatened to stab a mofo who intruded on my life and he knows what he did and everyone knows what he did, and I was enraptured in the throws of heartbreak, and I said, 'If I get in the ring with you, you're not going to like what I do,' and MLW was like, again, I was off the reservation. I was crazy, I was heartbroken, I was f*cking wacko. I was vitriolic…

AKIRA did not name the individual he was referring to in that exchange. He framed the incident as tied to personal heartbreak and described MLW viewing him as off the reservation during that period.

Elsewhere in the same interview, AKIRA addressed the domestic abuse situation involving his ex significant other and fellow wrestler Masha Slamovich.
