Speaking on Logan Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast, Theory, a self-proclaimed lifelong fan of Cena, described the surreal experience of meeting and wrestling the veteran. Theory recalled spending time with Cena, including visiting his gym and sharing a meal, during which Cena offered advice regarding his character. Cena reportedly suggested that Theory lean into his authentic self rather than a perceived heel persona, stating, "You're not a bad guy. Like, I want you to be you." Theory expressed confusion at the time, as he was portraying an "obnoxious, over-the-top, cocky heel."
Theory further revealed that following their WrestleMania 39 match, Cena communicated to Vince McMahon that he did not view Theory as a heel and believed he should be a babyface. The WWE star also noted Cena's immense dedication to his craft as a key takeaway from their time together. Cena emphasized the importance of treating every show as significant, telling Theory, "Just remember, every show we do is a live event. This is the biggest show we have."
The "Vision star" highlighted Cena's fearlessness as a defining trait, recalling Cena's admission that he is not afraid to fail or be humiliated.
