DeCesare, who also used the ring name Carmella Garcia was the runner-up in the 2004 Diva Search competition, finishing behind Christy Hemme. She was formerly married to NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia, with whom she has four children. DeCesare's past also includes work as a Playboy model, having been named Miss April 2003 and the 2004 Playmate of the Year.

Currently, DeCesare works as a real estate broker and developer. Bravo provided a description of her role on the show:
