A highly anticipated, first-time singles match between Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill is reportedly being planned for SummerSlam 2026. The event is scheduled to take place in Minneapolis on August 1-2.
According to reports, WWE management is considering booking this matchup, which has been pitched internally and was at one point penciled in for the event. While Jade Cargill lost her Women's Title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42, there is a possibility that Triple H and his creative team could still feature the match on the premium live event.
This bout has been a long time coming, as Flair and Cargill have only engaged in several staredown spots since Cargill's arrival in the company several years ago, without ever competing one-on-one.
Sources indicate that WWE creative has been looking for the opportune moment and stage to present this first-time matchup, viewing SummerSlam as the ideal setting. While it is noted that Cargill may be targeting Tiffany Stratton's Women's United States Title, the match between Flair and Cargill could potentially be a significant draw even without championships on the line.
Charlotte Flair has recently been active in the tag-team division, notably partnering with Alexa Bliss. Jade Cargill, meanwhile has been aligned with Michin and B-FAB, reminiscent of her past group from AEW.
