Ciampa responded by saying he’s the Psycho Killer and not even his own mother calls him ‘Tommy’. This prompted Jericho to deliver the ‘Tommy’s Mommy’ line, which quickly caught on with the live audience in Cincinnati, leading to a chant throughout the arena.
Chris Jericho commented on the line while appearing on Busted Open, reflecting on the crowd’s reaction and his approach to segments. He shared his thoughts on the dynamic balance between humor and seriousness in his performances.
Well, you know, you always try different things to have some fun and sometimes you do a little bit more laughing stuff and sometimes you do a little bit more serious stuff but, it all ends up being good so, the live crowd enjoyed the Tommy’s Mommy. So, we had a good time. It was a great show, and a great crowd in Cincinnati for sure.
Before feuding with Ciampa, Chris Jericho was engaged in a program with Ricochet. That program concluded at Double or Nothing in the Stadium Stampede match.
