John Cena believes comedian and actor Eric Andre could do very well in WWE if he ever decided to take professional wrestling seriously. Cena shared that view during a recent interview with ETalk while he and Andre promote their upcoming Netflix comedy Little Brother, which premieres on June 26.
Cena was asked about Andre's appearance on WWE television a few days before the interview. The WWE legend had nothing but praise for his co-star, saying Andre already has many of the qualities needed to succeed in wrestling.
Cena on Andre's WWE potential
Many celebrities have appeared in WWE over the years, but not everyone has what it takes to connect with wrestling fans. Cena believes Andre has that special quality. He feels Andre's skills as a performer and storyteller would fit naturally in WWE.
The advice would be follow your dream. He's a gifted physical comedian and a storyteller. He would be a WWE superstar as soon as he switches as soon as he changes his mind.
Andre is known for his wild comedy, fearless personality, and willingness to put himself in crazy situations. Those traits have helped many entertainers succeed in WWE, whether as wrestlers, managers, or special guests.
Cena also suggested that the only thing standing between Andre and a WWE career is commitment.
I think with a little more preparation, he'd do extremely well.
Andre's RAW appearance and Jacob Fatu attack
Andre recently got his first experience on WWE TV, although it did not end too well for him. On the June 15 episode of RAW, Jacob Fatu attacked him and crushed him with multiple top rope splashes.
Even though the beating looked painful, Cena revealed that Andre apparently loved every second of it and even called it the best thing of his life. That attitude is probably another reason why Cena thinks Andre would fit so well in the pro wrestling business.
