Cena selected Grey as one of the competitors for the Women's Iron Survivor match in December 2025. The man billed as the Last Real Champion also passed along guidance that Grey says put her career in perspective.
When asked to talk about the best advice Cena gave her, Grey said:
Just be in the moment. He's talked about how fast this business is, it's never ending. He has talked about just taking it all in, being present and being in the moment because you never know when your last time is. That's kind of what he said too, which put it in perspective. He's like, it's not if, it's when you're done. Eventually, it comes to an end. It comes to a point that it's not a thing anymore so just taking in every moment and just enjoying what's happening the in present moment.
Grey said Cena's point about the speed of the business and the uncertainty of when a run ends shaped how she views her time in WWE. She tied his message directly to being present and enjoying what is happening now rather than getting ahead of herself.
Angle, Great American Bash, and NXT Women's Title
Grey recently revealed that she has never spoken to Kurt Angle despite being a huge fan of him.
Her next booked assignment comes at NXT Great American Bash, where she is set for an NXT Women's Championship match against Lola Vice.
