Katy Napier, a mother from Maryland has been invited to the Hollywood premiere of Disney's live-action Moana after a video she posted on TikTok gained significant attention from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The six-second video, directed at Johnson, humorously noted his new men's care brand, Papatui, while pointing out his baldness. Napier's video, which has amassed over 7 million likes was eventually dueted by Johnson on TikTok. He responded with a caption stating, "Ok this made me belly laugh... HARD. And hey, sometimes a demigod's radiant and ravishing hair needs shampoo (and) conditioner." Johnson also promised Napier a substantial gift.
Napier, who has over 24,000 followers on TikTok under the handle @Happyyellowco, filmed the spontaneous video in a Target store. She expressed surprise at the reaction, stating, "I never expected anything of this magnitude." Prior to receiving a physical gift, Johnson sent Napier a two-and-a-half minute voice note inviting her and her family to the live-action Moana premiere, scheduled for July 10, 2026.
In the voice note, Johnson said, "Katy, I loved your video so much. I have a surprise for you, and that surprise is: I would like to invite you and your family to our big Hollywood premiere of live-action Moana. It's just Maui's way of saying thank you for the awesome video." A handwritten note from Johnson also read, "Don't give up on your dreams. Anything is possible when you work hard. Stay focused, be kind, and put your whole head into it."
Following the voice note, a truck delivering Papatui products arrived at Napier's home. The shipment contained a wide array of items from the men's care brand, which first launched in 2024, including shampoo, conditioner, under eye masks, deodorant, and body wash. Napier joked that the products have significantly improved her husband's hair. She plans to share some items with friends.
Napier and her family, including her 10-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter are reportedly looking forward to the premiere and the opportunity to meet Johnson. The 2016 animated film is said to be one of Napier's favorite movies.
