Mercedes Mone vs. Hazuki Owen Hart Tournament Semifinal Set for Next AEW Dynamite

A pivotal semifinal match in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament is confirmed for next week’s AEW Dynamite, featuring Mercedes Mone against Stardom’s Hazuki. The winner will advance to the tournament finals at Forbidden Door on Sunday, June 28.

Mone made her surprise return as part of last week’s Dynamite, entering the tournament as the wild card for the injured Willow Nightingale. She secured her spot in the semifinal by defeating Alex Windsor. Mone is gunning for back-to-back Owen Hart tournament wins.

Hazuki advanced to this semifinal round this past Saturday on Collision with a win over CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone. Following that match, Mone attacked Persephone. Hazuki came to Persephone’s aid and left Mone laying.

The upcoming Mone vs. Hazuki match will be a rematch from their clash in December 2024 at NJPW Strong Style Evolved. In that prior meeting, Mone successfully defended her then-IWGP Women’s title against Hazuki.

The Mercedes Mone vs. Hazuki semifinal is the only match announced for next Wednesday’s Dynamite.
