SmackDown delivered a night of significant developments, highlighted by a decisive victory for Raquel Rodriguez in the Queen of the Ring Tournament, and a chaotic brawl involving Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Gunther, and Sami Zayn.

Raquel Rodriguez emerged victorious in a Fatal 4-Way Queen of the Ring First-Round Match, securing her advancement to the tournament semifinals. Rodriguez faced Bayley, Kiana James, and Jacy Jayne in a contest designed to determine who would move forward in the prestigious tournament. Rodriguez showcased her strength early in the bout, dominating much of the match and taking control of the action.

The match featured several intense moments, including Bayley connecting with a top rope elbow drop to Jacy Jayne, but Kiana James intervened to break up Bayley's pinfall attempt. A crucial moment of miscommunication between Kiana James and Giulia ultimately cost James her chance to win. James mistakenly believed Giulia had pulled her foot off the rope as she was close to securing a pinfall, but Jacy Jayne was revealed to be the actual culprit. This misunderstanding led to an argument between James and Giulia, which provided Raquel Rodriguez with the opportunity to capitalize. Rodriguez hit the Tejana Bomb on Kiana James, successfully winning the match and advancing in the Queen of the Ring Tournament.

Following the bout, the tensions between Kiana James and Giulia escalated. James berated Giulia after her loss in the Queen of the Ring Tournament, leading to Giulia viciously striking her associate. Giulia attacked Kiana James after their heated argument.

Talla Tonga Defeats Royce Keys Amidst Interference

In another singles match, Talla Tonga defeated Royce Keys. Royce Keys faced a tall task as he battled the massive Talla Tonga. Tonga consistently smashed Keys throughout the encounter, forcing Keys to adapt his strategy to try and take down his larger opponent.

Keys managed to create some offense, eventually bouncing off the ropes to hit a huge tackle on Tonga, bringing down the tree-like mastodon. Keys then followed up with a jaw-dropping powerslam. However, the match conclusion was affected by outside interference. Tama Tonga struck Royce Keys outside the ring behind the referee’s back. This interference allowed Talla Tonga to take advantage, leading to him hitting a Talla T-Bomb on Keys. Talla Tonga ultimately the match with the Talla T-Bomb.

Following this match, Damian Priest played a pivotal role involving R-Truth. R-Truth attempted to help Royce Keys against The MFTs, but Damian Priest intervened. Priest prevented R-Truth from saving Keys, instead saving R-Truth himself and leaving Keys to get pummeled.

Championship Contention and Tag Team Action

The Women’s Championship picture also saw several prominent figures making their intentions known. Charlotte Flair, Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton, and Jade Cargill each stepped forward to make their case for a challenge against WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Later in the night, Jade Cargill and Michin teamed up to defeat Charlotte Flair and Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton. This match featured an unlikely tandem as former fierce rivals Charlotte Flair and Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton formed a temporary alliance to take on Jade Cargill and Michin.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in Wild Brawl

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes found himself in a wild brawl alongside Gunther and Sami Zayn. The three competitors engaged in a nasty melee, with the Undisputed WWE Champion at the center of the chaotic confrontation.
