The conversation came after Dibiase was asked about a joke Foley had previously made about the two legends getting back in the ring for a certain price. Dibiase indicated he would let that idea pass.
I think we'll let that go. But hey, Mick, I love Mick. Mick was one of a kind and he's a guy who I really admire because he's one of those guys… there's a lot of guys and don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking any of the new guys that are up in there, but Mick I look at and I look at him like a peer of mine because he has the same understanding of the psychology of pro wrestling that I do and a lot of that he got from because he was a big fan of a guy who was- not only a fan, but like a big brother to me, that was Terry Funk.
Foley remains one of the more iconic WWE performers of the past 35 years, with a pivotal Attitude Era run and a WWE Championship win during the Monday Night Wars that proved to be a turning point in the WWE-WCW rivalry. Dibiase, also a WWE Hall of Famer, framed Foley as a peer who shares his grasp of in-ring psychology, with Funk serving as a major influence on both men.
