WWE has continued its practice of scheduling significant events to coincide with rival All Elite Wrestling programming. Following the announcement of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door for June 28, WWE's NXT announced The Great American Bash for the same night. More recently, WWE revealed that Lucha Libre AAA and NXT would hold a joint event, AAA/NXT Heatwave, on Sunday, August 30, in Edinburg, Texas. This date conflicts with AEW's All In: London event.

Tickets for the AAA/NXT Heatwave doubleheader are set to go on sale July 8, with the broadcast scheduled to begin at noon ET on August 30. While an official start time for AEW All In: London has not yet been released, some overlap is anticipated given the time zone differences.

Khan's Reaction to Counterprogramming

Speaking after Forbidden Door, AEW President Tony Khan was asked by Dave Meltzer about WWE's latest counterprogramming effort. Upon confirming he was aware of the announcement, Khan responded when asked if he viewed it as a compliment.

It’s double the compliment Jimmy Crockett got. That’s good, twice as nice as they were to Jimmy. That’s great. I’ll be sure to take it that way. I think we’re going to have a great AEW All In and really looking forward to going back to Wembley Stadium. It’s going to be the biggest night in AEW wrestling.

Khan also stated he could not speak to what other promotions are doing but did see the announcement. He added that his focus remains on ensuring AEW has a strong show for All In: London.

I can’t speak to what the other promotions are doing but I did see that announcement... Not a lot I can do other than just hope we have a really good show and plan and prepare that we will have a very good show for AEW All In.

Upcoming Matches for AEW All In: London

Currently, two matches are announced for AEW All In: London. Will Ospreay will challenge for the AEW Men's World Championship after winning the Men's Owen Hart Tournament. The current champion, MJF is scheduled to defend his title against Mark Briscoe on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday. Additionally, Mercedes Moné earned her shot at AEW Women's World Champion Thekla by winning the Women's Owen Hart Tournament final at Forbidden Door.
