Report: Update on when CM Punk could return to WWE TV

CM Punk has been off WWE TV since the Raw after WrestleMania 42. Reports suggest Punk's return by July 6 in Chicago, though the date is unconfirmed.

Recent reports, citing a source, indicated Thursday that signs pointed to Punk returning on or by Monday, July 6, in Chicago. However, the July 6 return date was not confirmed. The expectation, according to these reports is that Punk's on-screen return is not "far away."

This reported return date would place his comeback after Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia but before Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden on July 18.

Prior to these recent reports, several unfounded rumors had circulated about Punk. Separately, Sean Ross Sapp reported that an AEW source offered insight into Punk's standing with the company.

"never say never"

This statement came when Sapp asked the source if Punk had burned any bridges within AEW.

In other WWE news, the company is currently running a King of the Ring tournament, which is potentially set to decide the No. 1 contender for Roman Reigns’ title. Looking ahead, this year’s SummerSlam is scheduled for August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
