The health scare began when Johnson discovered a lump on his left testicle last Friday while taking a shower. He described the lump as causing considerable pain upon touch.
Late Sunday, Johnson called his doctor, who initially suspected epididymitis. However, the doctor advised Johnson to undergo an ultrasound to rule out cancer. Johnson completed the ultrasound on Tuesday, just one day after a full-day event promoting "Jumanji: Open World."
Ultimately, Johnson confirmed he is fine.
"By the way: I'm fine," he said. "But I didn't know that then, and the thing was really painful."
The Mayo Clinic defines epididymitis as "an inflammation of the coiled tube, called the epididymis, at the back of the testicle. The epididymis stores and carries sperm. Males of any age can get epididymitis. It is most often caused by a bacterial infection."
