John Cena's most recent televised appearance was at the 2026 WWE Backlash Premium Live Event. During this appearance, he announced the upcoming creation of a new event titled 'The John Cena Classic'. This event is designed to feature exhibition matches between WWE and NXT stars, with fans playing an integral role by voting to save their favorites from elimination.
