WWE Reportedly Pursues Top Independent Talent Richard Holliday

WWE is reportedly showing significant interest in signing independent wrestling standout Richard Holliday to a contract. The 33-year-old has a decade of experience on the independent circuit and has had previous tryouts with the company.

WWE continues to be linked with a number of free agents, and Richard Holliday has emerged as another name reportedly on the company's radar. Sources suggest that Holliday, a highly touted independent wrestler, could be close to signing a WWE contract.

Holliday, 33 has been a prominent figure on the independent wrestling scene for over ten years, competing for various promotions globally. He had a significant tenure with Major League Wrestling before his departure in 2024. He currently holds the Reality of Wrestling Legacy Championship, a title he won in May.

Holliday has reportedly undergone multiple WWE tryouts in recent years. He was also once considered for a role in TNA as Mr. Elegance.

Other Potential WWE Signings and Departures

The potential addition of Holliday comes as WWE navigates changes in its roster. Simultaneously, other talents are being connected to WWE.

Names such as Mike Santana, Eric Young, Zilla Fatu, Enzo Amore, and Big Bill have all been mentioned in connection with WWE. Eric Young was granted his release from his previous contract, while Bishop Dyer, formerly Baron Corbin was reportedly "locked out" of Major League Wrestling following contract negotiation disputes. Big Bill is still listed on AEW's roster but is expected to let his contract expire this summer.

Additionally, Hiromu Takahashi has been a rumored target for WWE. Takahashi, a five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion has a storied history with Naraku (formerly EVIL), who debuted in NXT earlier this year and challenged for the NXT Championship.
